Ah, the morning hustle—also known as the daily event where I question every decision I’ve ever made before 7:30 a.m.

Picture this: A mom sprinting for the bus with one shoe half on, yelling ‘GET YOUR WATER BOTTLE’ while answering a work text she absolutely should not be answering at 7:12 a.m.

Her checklist reads like a novel:
✔ Breakfast
✔ Bags packed
✔ Everyone accounted for
✔ Coffee… somewhere

And maybe—just maybe—a quick glance in the mirror to remember she exists too.

As she hops onto the bus, bag in hand (weighing approximately the same as a toddler), she’s not just commuting—she’s training for the Olympics of daily life.

And the ride? Far from peaceful.

It’s a full-blown comedy show:

  • A forgotten snack magically appears in her purse

  • A last-minute school message comes through

  • A mental reminder that dinner is still… a complete mystery

All while balancing work calls, kids’ needs, and that book club she absolutely meant to keep up with.

But Here’s the Shift…

Somewhere between the chaos of the morning and the demands of the afternoon lives a tiny, powerful window:

The Midday Moment.

It’s not glamorous. It’s not perfectly planned.
But it matters.

Some days, my “midday pause” looks like sitting in my car scrolling in silence—because if I walk inside too soon, someone will need something immediately.

Other days, it’s even simpler:

  • Sitting in your car in complete silence

  • Drinking your coffee while it’s actually hot (a miracle)

  • Scrolling your phone guilt-free

  • Or hiding in the bathroom for five uninterrupted minutes

No pressure. No expectations. Just… pause.

Because Balance Isn’t What We Think

Balance isn’t having it all together.

It’s knowing when to take a breath in the middle of the chaos.
It’s choosing a moment for yourself without guilt.
It’s surviving the day with your sense of humor (mostly) intact.

So if today felt like a lot—same.

You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.

You’re just living in the beautiful chaos of it all.

May your coffee be strong,
Your to-do list be slightly shorter,
And may you always find your way to a midday moment… even if it’s just five minutes behind a locked door.

Because the hustle is real—but so is the humor.

Save this for your next 2PM moment—you’re going to need it.
